My best friend is selling some of her stuff as she’ll soon relocate to Canada. Disposing off her fine jewels hurts her but a practical way to get more funds for her transfer. Besides, she doesn’t want to be reminded of her past life now that her divorce is final. Among the items that we’re auctioning off is a sterling silver choker her ex-husband gave on their last Thanksgiving dinner. We utilized the internet via email blast to quickly dispose off her items to close friends who might be interested.
Divorce is an excruciating experience. I’m giving her all the support I can give to make her transfer swift and smooth. She made a decision to remove all the things that will remind her “trophy wife” stage. Her abhorrence towards fine things and jewelry was obvious.
