The Symbol of Commitment

The concept of the eternity ring was developed by De Beers to make use of Soviet gems that were small in size. Eternity rings made of a number of small diamonds, in contrast to the fashion at that time which consisted of single, large diamonds. The eternity ring was aimed at older married women. The campaign was aimed at husbands who were encouraged to give the ring to their wives to make them feel that they are still appreciated. Eternity rings are great gifts for wedding anniversaries.
The original design of the eternity ring consisted of a loop of precious diamonds. Now they are made using other precious stones. A ruby eternity ring is as much an expression of continued commitment. The continuous loop of red stones is symbolic of unending love. It is a reminder that nothing can break the bond brought about by mutual love.
